Here at Blackberry Centre, our users are real users that use their Blackberries everyday.
We don’t just review for the sake of it, we actually put the devices through their stride.
The Blackberry Curve 8900 Javelin is the smallest and lightest full keyboard Blackberry to date. It weighs a measly 3.87 ounces which is light for a smartphone let alone a Blackberry.
The Curve 8900 has all the plus points of the Blackberry BOLD but in a smaller shell. As a result the keyboard is smaller but is still very useable and the screen is smaller but is still very legible and clear.
The Curve 8900 makes and receive calls well and the contacts listing is the same easy affair. Emailing is a joy on this although the keys are smaller than the BOLD and some with chunkier fingers (like myself) may find that the BOLD keyboard is better.
The battery on this Vodafone Blackberry Curve 8900 Javelin is the same as the Storm but because the screen is smaller, standby time is greatly increased and is on par with the usual Blackberries of old.
The screen on the 8900 is clear and sharp and surprisingly plays media files very well. Better than the Apple Iphone 3G! It has a slot for a micro SD card and the Vodafone Curve 8900 Javelin came with a 1Gb card as standard.
All the connectivity options are there including WiFi, Bluetooth, Quad Band, Edge but no 3G.

Those wanting a full keyboard Blackberry but find the BOLD too big should opt for the Blackberry Curve 8900. From first impressions, this looks like a winner as I can find very few faults.
