The Vodafone USB modem stick pro is a dongle that attaches to your laptop or desktop computer and allows you access to wireless broadband from wherever you are ( signal permitting ).
This is not to be misunderstood as being Wifi or Wlan as these depend on whether you have a wireless access point nearby in order to be able to use.
These devices, effectively mean that as long as you have a mobile phone signal, then you will be able to get online.
The dongle is both PC ( Windows 2000/XP ) and Mac ( OS X, 10.3.9, Jaguar or higher ) compatible but please check the provider for the exact minimum specifications and requirements for the dongle.
A couple of minor gripes are that the stats that are logged for the amount uploaded/downloaded stay only on the machine connected. For instance, if you used the dongle on another machine, the stats are reset to zero.
The other little gripe is that the dongle only comes in white. Not a problem if your laptop is white but both my desktop computer and my laptop are both black.
